The following is a list of recurring workouts led by BTT members. Please register for our Yahoo! Group BTT Public and contact each workout leader directly for more information. Times and days may vary based on weather and leader availability.


Workout:WEDNESDAY NIGHT RUNS
Location:Meet at The Burren, Davis Square - Somerville MA.(click for map)
Date/Time:Wednesday evenings, 7:00pm
Description:Meet at the Burren Irish Pub, Davis Square, Somerville for a group run on the Minuteman Bike Path. Leave post run clothes in the back room (nothing of value) and we will head out for runs of varying distance/pace depending on your current training schedule.

Workout:CROSSROADS PUB RUN
Location:Crossroads Pub, 495 Beacon St. Boston, MA (click for map)
Date/Time:Thursday evenings, 5:45pm (Nov. to Apr.)
Thursday evenings, 6:15pm (May to Oct.)
Description:Meet at Crossroads Pub, leave dry clothes upstairs, take Green Line T out to Woodland and run back along Boston Marathon course to Crossroads Pub. Total run distance is approximately 8.8 miles. During the summer months, runners still meet but sometimes vary the distance by running along the river instead of the marathon course.

Workout:ARLINGTON CENTER RIDES
Location:Meet at Arlington Center Starbucks, Arlington MA.(click for map)
Date/Time:Intermittent - Thursday mornings, 6:30am sharp (look for e-mail notitification
Description:Consistency is the key to bike training. We'll ride approximately 20 - 25m leaving Arlington Center at 6:30am. All are welcome. Weekly e-mails provide more specific information.

Workout:WEEKEND LONG RUNS
Location:Weeks Foot Bridge (also called the Harvard Foot Bridge) at Memorial Dr. and DeWolfe St. in Cambridge, MA (click for map)
Other locations of this weekly long run are the Fells and from Cleveland Circle to run the marathon course.
Date/Time:Intermittent Sunday mornings, 10:00am (occasionally held on Saturday) (look for e-mail notification
Description:Long runs with varying pace and distance depending on runners' preference. An e-mail confirming the date, time and location is sent on a weekly basis.

Workout:BEDFORD/CARLISLE RIDES
Location:Meet at Minuteman Trail Head, Bedford MA.(click for map)
Date/Time:RESUMING SPRING 2006
Description:Starting April 11th, every Monday evening at 6:05pm, meet at the Head of The Minuteman Bikeway in Bedford for an easy roll through Bedford, Concord and Carlisle. We head out promptly at 6:15pm . The format of the ride will be such that no one gets dropped. There will be 2 different groups heading out, a group with a pace up to 15-16 mph and a faster one.

Workout:IBC NEWTON RIDES
Location:Meet at International Bicycle Center, Newton MA.(click for map)
Date/Time:RESUMING SPRING 2006
Description:Weekly AM Hammond/Putterham Repeats: 6:00am Tuesdays. 1 hour of repeats around a 4 Mile loop course requiring no stops. All right-hand turns. Mostly flat, but with some small hills to keep it interesting. Conveniently halfway between IBC Boston & Newton. Periodic hill repeats at Larz Andersen Park. Click here for the official ride site.

Workout:WALDEN SWIMMING
Location:Walden Pond, Concord, MA (click for map)
Time:RESUMING SPRING 2006
Description:Open water swims starting at the beach at Walden Pond. Varying yardage and speed. Westuits recommended during colder months.
Extra:Many swimmers head to Concord Center after the workout for breakfast at the Colonial Inn or Helen's.

Workout:CRW FITNESS RIDES - BRICK
Location:Meet at Nahanton Park, Newton MA.(click for map)
Date/Time:Saturday Mornings, 8:20am
Description:Join the Charles River Wheelmen for their weekly Saturday fitness rides of varying distances and speeds. The ride rolls through scenic Needham, Dover, Sherborn and Medfield. Check out CRW's website for more information, maps and cue sheets. Bring along your running shoes and join fellow BTT members for a quick 2 mile transition trail run around the adjacent Charles River Reservation.

This ride is run by CRW year-round, BTT members and friends participate as they wish. Announcements will only be made on the BTT list for brick/transition run workouts during the Spring/Summer seasons.

The CRW rides are open to all, however if the CRW ride becomes part of your weekly training plan it is encouraged that you contribute to CRW by becoming a member ($20/year). Also please note that CRW does not allow the use of aero bars/tri-bars. If you have extensions installed on your drop bars please remain on your hoods or drop bars while in a pace line.
